Wooksack Day in Tetbury !

Anyone enjoying a Cotswold tour today and who happens to be in my home town of Tetbury, will happen upon a somewhat peculiar annual event that takes place each spring bank holiday Monday! It involves teams of runners with heavy wool sacks on their backs running down the very steep and precarious “Gumstool Hill” between two pubs – The Crown and the Royal Oak. Yes you guessed the event does involve beer !

The town gets very festive – there is a street fair and funfair for the kids, a French market etc ! Lets hope the weather holds. These photos are from a previous year as I am working and may not be able to add any today.

Coke in a frozen glass in Stow-on-the-Wold

Diet Coke in a frozen glass on another steamy day in Stow-on-the-Wold! Unusually for us the glass was from the freezer – logical at 80F, but rather puzzling at just 8F ????

On a Cotswold Tour ending up at Hidcote Manor Garden – I may even go in myself and take some pics!
